Supermarkets to Host Job Fairs on June 1

        

Keasbey, NJ (May 24, 2023) – Wakefern Food Corp., the nation’s largest retailer-owned cooperative with member companies that own and operate supermarkets under the ShopRite, Price Rite Marketplace, The Fresh Grocer, Gourmet Garage and Fairway Market banners, today announced that its supermarket banners will host hiring fairs for candidates looking for career opportunities and valuable experience in retail on Thursday, June 1.
 
The walk-up job fairs are taking place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at most store locations throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland.  Candidates can visit most participating stores to speak with a hiring representative for an immediate interview. Full-time, part-time and management positions are available, varying by location.
 
Available positions, including general, perishable, front end and stocking clerks, feature flexible hours and a wide variety of cross training to provide employees with the knowledge, skills and tools to work as a team throughout the store. Training programs include a game-based app and are designed to provide a solid foundation so each individual can achieve their best and pursue career goals. Each job offers opportunities for career growth and plays an integral part in the operation of the entire Wakefern cooperative and its retail banners and stores.
