September 15, 2013 -- The ShopRite of Plainview, located at 444 Woodbury Road, Plainview, NY is voluntarily recalling its 14 oz.  store-baked Raisin Bobka Bread with a sell-by date of September 18th.
The product contains undeclared almonds which could cause a reaction in people who have allergies to nuts and/or tree nuts.   Only 14 oz. store-baked Raisin Bobka Bread produced in the ShopRite of Plainview/Woodbury Road is being recalled.  This is an isolated incident and affects this store only. No other bakery products are affected.
“We are advising customers who purchased this product at the ShopRite of Plainview on Woodbury Road to return it for an immediate refund or replacement,” stated ShopRite spokesperson Karen Meleta. No injuries related to the recall have been reported.
ShopRite has reached out to its ShopRite Price Plus Club customers who have purchased this product to alert them to the recall via phone or email.  ShopRite urges its customers to keep their Price Plus Club information updated, so they can be contacted in case of such events.  Customers wishing to update their information can call 1-800-SHOPRITE or visit
