May 20th grand opening celebrates arrival of the ninth PriceRite in New York state

A new PriceRite is coming to Parkway Plaza in Vestal, NY with a grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 10 AM.  Scheduled to attend are New York State Senator Thomas Libous, Debra Preston, County Executive; John Schaffer, Town Supervisor; Councilwoman Patty Fitzgerald, Councilman Steve Milkovich, Councilman David Marnicki; and Emil Bielecki, Town Clerk.
This location marks the ninth PriceRite location in New York state, where customers have come to enjoy PriceRite’s tradition of savings and convenience of warehouse club-style shopping without the membership fees or bulk-buying requirements. This new store will bring 130 full- and part-time jobs to the Vestal community.
PriceRite’s mission is to provide customers with a “clean, fresh, and friendly” shopping experience every day. Also known for its unmatched value, PriceRite offers customers the same quality foods as traditional supermarkets at about half the price.
PriceRite employs a self service format that includes fresh produce delivered daily; packaged meats; baked goods; a variety of private label and national grocery brands; as well as dairy and frozen food products. To further reduce costs and pass along those savings to customers, PriceRite does not advertise or publish a weekly circular. Customers are encouraged to use their own bags or to buy them as needed for 10¢ each, which benefits the environment while containing costs. By focusing on keeping operating costs low, PriceRite is proud to pass significant savings along to its customers.
“At PriceRite, it is our philosophy that our customers shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality to save on price,” said Kathy Freedman, spokesperson for PriceRite. “We are excited to expand our service to the Vestal community with the addition of this new store and we are thankful to our neighbors for their continued support.”
PriceRite’s additional New York-area stores are located in Schenectady, Queensbury, Rochester and Buffalo.
The PriceRite of Vestal is located in the Parkway Plaza at 3124 Vestal Parkway East. Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Although checks and coupons are not accepted, PriceRite does accept credit cards and EBT cards.
