October 28th grand opening celebrates arrival of the tenth PriceRite in New York State
A new PriceRite is coming to 1605 Erie Boulevard in Syracuse, NY with a grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 11 AM. Several City Officials are scheduled to attend.
In anticipation of its grand opening and to commemorate the event, PriceRite will also present the Food Bank of Central New York with a special donation later this week to help fill its shelves for the upcoming winter season.
This location marks the tenth PriceRite location in New York, where customers have come to enjoy PriceRite’s tradition of savings and convenience of warehouse club-style shopping without the membership fees or bulk-buying requirements. This new store will bring 130 full- and part-time jobs to the Syracuse community.
PriceRite’s mission is to provide customers with a “clean, fresh, and friendly” shopping experience every day. Also known for its unmatched value, PriceRite offers customers the same quality foods as traditional supermarkets at about half the price.
Built from the ground up, this state-of-the-art store features some of the industry’s leading “green technologies,” including glass doors on dairy cases, and energy-efficient lighting and refrigeration through the store.
PriceRite employs a self service format that includes fresh produce delivered daily; packaged meats; baked goods; a variety of private label and national grocery brands; as well as dairy and frozen food products. To further reduce costs and pass along those savings to customers, PriceRite does not advertise or publish a weekly circular. Customers are encouraged to use their own bags or to buy them as needed for 10¢ each, which benefits the environment while containing costs. By focusing on keeping operating costs low, PriceRite is proud to pass significant savings along to its customers.
“At PriceRite, it is our philosophy that our customers shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality to save on price,” said Kathy Freedman, spokesperson for PriceRite. “We are excited to expand our service to the city of Syracuse with the addition of this new store and we are thankful to our new neighbors for their support.”
PriceRite’s additional New York-area stores are located in Schenectady, Queensbury, Rochester, Vestal and Buffalo.
