Hyattsville, MD (May 22, 2014) –
PriceRite announced today that it will celebrate the opening of a new location in Maryland on Wednesday, May 28th
in Hyattsville. Located at 3104 Queens Chapel Road, this marks the fifth PriceRite supermarket in Maryland and the second store in the Washington metropolitan area. This new store will bring 125 full and part-time jobs to the community.
To celebrate the opening of this new store, PriceRite will present a special donation to the Capital Area Food Bank and has extended an invitation to local municipal, civic and community organizations to attend a store preview next week.
PriceRite’s mission is to provide customers with a “clean, fresh, and friendly” shopping experience every day. Also known for its unmatched value, PriceRite offers customers the same quality foods as traditional supermarkets at about half the price, and with the convenience of warehouse club-style shopping without the membership fees or bulk-buying requirements.
The 40,000 sq. ft, state-of-the-art PriceRite of Hyattsville will feature some of the industry’s leading “green technologies,” including glass doors on dairy cases, and energy-efficient lighting and refrigeration throughout the store.
PriceRite employs a self service format that includes fresh produce delivered daily; packaged meats; baked goods; a variety of private label and national grocery brands; as well as dairy and frozen food products.
To further reduce costs and pass along those savings to customers, PriceRite does not advertise or publish a weekly circular. Customers are encouraged to use their own bags or to purchase a reusable bag for 10¢ each, which benefits the environment while containing costs. By focusing on keeping operating costs low, PriceRite is proud to pass significant savings along to its customers.
“Expanding our service in Maryland and the Washington metropolitan marketplace with a new store in Hyattsville is a natural next step in our commitment to providing our customers with a great shopping experience,” said Neil Duffy, president of PriceRite. “At PriceRite, it is our philosophy that our customers shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality to save on price. We look forward to having a positive impact on the community and are grateful to our new neighbors for their support.”
