Danbury, CT – May 16, 2013 – PriceRite announced today that its newest location is scheduled to open next Wednesday, May 22nd at 8:00 AM in Danbury, Connecticut with a ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for 2:00 PM. Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton will be in attendance, as well as several city officials and community leaders. To mark the occasion, PriceRite representatives will also present a donation on behalf of the store to the Connecticut Food Bank.
Located at 29 Main Street, this store marks the eleventh PriceRite location in Connecticut and will bring 130 full- and part-time jobs to the Danbury community.
PriceRite’s mission is to provide customers with a “clean, fresh, and friendly” shopping experience every day. Also known for its unmatched value, PriceRite offers customers the same quality foods as traditional supermarkets at about half the price and with the convenience of warehouse club-style shopping without the membership fees or bulk-buying requirements.
The 45,000 sq. ft, state-of-the-art PriceRite of Danbury will feature some of the industry’s leading “green technologies,” including glass doors on dairy cases, and energy-efficient lighting and refrigeration throughout the store.
PriceRite employs a self service format that includes fresh produce delivered daily; packaged meats; baked goods; a variety of private label and national grocery brands; as well as dairy and frozen food products.
To further reduce costs and pass along those savings to customers, PriceRite does not advertise or publish a weekly circular. Customers are encouraged to use their own bags or to buy them as needed for 10¢ each, which benefits the environment while containing costs. By focusing on keeping operating costs low, PriceRite is proud to pass significant savings along to its customers.
“Expanding our service in Connecticut with a new store in Danbury is a natural next step in our commitment to providing our customers with a great shopping experience,” said Neil Duffy, president of PriceRite. “At PriceRite, it is our philosophy that our customers shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality to save on price. We look forward to having a positive impact on the community and are grateful to our new neighbors for their support.”
