Price Rite pitched in to help Rochester-based Jordan Health with its “Water for Flint” campaign. Price Rite last month joined neighbors like Foodlink, United Way, the YWCA and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Rochester in donating bottled water to residents of Flint, Mich., where the city’s drinking water supply has been contaminated by lead.
Price Rite donated 4,000 bottles of Price Rite spring water to Jordan Health, which collected a total of 20,000 water bottles and $2,000 in donations. The water was delivered to Genesee Health Care Center in Flint.
“Price Rite is happy to partner with Jordan Health and many of our Rochester neighbors to make this water donation to the residents of Flint, Michigan. Rochester is a great city and we are proud to be part of this community,” said Price Rite President Neil Duffy.
Price Rite made a similar water donation to Flint earlier this year through its store in Syracuse.
